In order to be completely sure that our crankshafts will withstand the toughest conditions, at regular intervals we have to do something which we don’t like doing at all:

testing the crankshaft to destruction.

Only in this way can we carry out an intensive investigation of the interior of the crankshaft. The "destruction" may only be carried out in our own laboratories – and only there. It must never happen in the customer's engine!

Determination of residual dirt according to VDA 19 with filtering device, for subsequent microscopic evaluation of the filter membranes. Residual dirt affects the service intervals and the engine life.

Stereo microscope for automatic determination of residual dirt on filter membranes according to VDA 19 with corresponding digital photo documentation and report as well as evaluation of fine surface structures, e.g. by fracture analysis.
